Changing demographics are creating the need for new housing options not currently offered in the Urbanizing Area. The market study analysis conducted as part of the Urbanizing Area Plan indicated that there will be a growing demand for multifamily housing and smaller, detached single family homes with smaller lots. The current draft of the plan includes a strategy to incorporate neighborhoods with these housing types, and concurrently, walkable amenities will be able to be introduced, helping to create a sense of place.
